Gurukul is a school management platform operated by Saundarya Roof Private Limited (Bhandara, Maharashtra, India). This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with.

1. Data we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone, role (admin, teacher, student, parent).
• School records: attendance, fees, marks, timetables, documents uploaded by school staff.
• Device and usage logs: browser type, IP address, pages visited — used only for security and debugging.

2. How we use it

• To deliver the features of the platform (login, attendance, fees, notifications).
• To send transactional emails and push notifications you have opted into.
• To detect abuse and keep the service secure.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use these data processors:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Cloudflare R2 — document and image storage.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Sarvam AI — AI features (only when used).

4. Data retention

We keep your school records while your school is an active customer. On request, we can delete or export your data within 30 days.

5. Children's data

Student data is entered by school staff and is accessible only to authorised school roles and the student's parent. We do not advertise to children and do not share student data with third parties beyond the processors listed above.
